The Average Order Value (AOV) is the average money amount that a customer spends an order on your Prestashop website with you. It also gives some information regarding customer behavior.

The average order value, with the conversion rate (CR) & revenue per visit (RPP), is the most important value a Prestashop-based online store needs to increase to be profitable. Want to calculate the gross revenue? It's here: Traffic x Conversion Rate x Average Order Value.

Although increasing AOV doesn't factor into your profit margins or gross profit, merchants should first try to improve it, which is the process through which each consumer makes more money. It's a very important KPI (Key Performance Indicator) for any business, including Prestashop E-Commerce Stores, that informs you about your pricing strategies.

Increase this value to a point where it's the maximum it can be for your business based on your own data and industry benchmarks. Then let it work on its own while you continue to focus on other important areas of boosting sales and revenue, like acquiring new customers, increasing the customer lifetime value of eCommerce businesses.

What you have: You launch an eCommerce business to consistently market and sell your products.

Increasing Average Order Values does not cost money, but increasing traffic does. Encourage your customers to buy more expensive products and more products!

You know What does Average Order Value mean. Next questions: How to calculate AOV and especially How to increase the average order value?

How well do you know the logo on? How to customize it and replace the default on the current template with another? I've compiled in this article everything about it on an online shop made with PrestaShop e-commerce platform.

How to change the PrestaShop Logo?

This is not only the first question but also the most exciting question people ask when developing a store based on this open-source eCommerce platform.

To change it on your shop, you need to access the Theme Configuration page:

  • Go to the Back Office to access the Admin panel.
  • Visit Preferences → Theme menu (from the left side menu of the Admin Panel on both PrestaShop 1.6 & PrestaShop 1.7).

On this page, there are 4 types of customizable logos:

If you do not remove or change the default from the Admin Panel, it will appear on the default theme. In case you use a paid template instead of a default template, you still need to change the image because the default file is made by the theme author and will be shown on your store.

How long should meta description in Prestashop be? I said you can write meta descriptions for 300 characters, but it's not correct anymore. Everything has changed with this meta tag!

As of mid-May 2018, Google has reverted back to shorter display snippets, and these changes are widespread. Most meta descriptions are being cut off in the previous range of about 155–160 characters.

How to write a strong SEO Title Tag that Google will love on your site? In my previous tutorial on Prestashop SEO Made Simple: A Step-by-Step guide, i said that the title should be succinct between 5 and 10 words, roughly 60 characters. Yesterday when i worked on a P1.7 website, i can see this platform offers you to write a title tag with max 70 characters.

What is the correct number? Because title tags are one of the essential elements, and even a slight change in the meta title of your page can bring a significant shift in your organic rankings, so, we need to find the correct number.

Few months ago i wrote a tutorial to share about the way to show categories images on menu.

Then @Psdesigner and @Damien Belgacig asked me about the way to put subcategories images instead of main category's image. Sorry 2 guys, Disqus didn't tell me about your comments.

Well, as my previous article, if you edit ps_mainmenu template file (ps_mainmenu.tpl) and put the source code as my suggest, all categories images will be showed on Prestashop Menu. In case you only want to allow subcategories images, we need to make some changes.

Subscription Business is not new and quite common, especially for the services. Since consumer buying habits are trending toward more simple and hassle-free shopping experiences, more and more companies are jumping into the subscription space and seeing incredible growth. It's not difficult to use it on your Prestashop website.

Selling a one-off digital product, service or course may offer you instant gratification. You get an email saying you've made a sale and the money turns up in your bank account. However, you then need to work hard to get a new customer to make a purchase.

One of our clients, Rajković, sell animal food and feeds in Prague, Czech. His products are very good and his clients are very lovely.

But he told me "Frank, i'm losing. I'm spending too much money on advertising."

This costs time and money. So why not try maximizing your revenue – and easing your cash flow – by persuading customers to sign up to a membership/subscription? That way your initial marketing investment pays off month after month after month.
